چکیده
The Economics of Terrorism In order for terrorists to be successful they must have funding to complete their missions. If the international community desires to truly undermine the productivity of terrorists, then we must first destroy the economic network or access to the resources that terrorists use to achieve, facilitate, and promote the objectives of terrorism. When I speak of resources, I am not simply referring to monetary funds, but also resources ranging from government policies and religious assets to the media and the Internet to its most valuable resource, human beings.

Androgens and eye movements in women and men during a test of mental rotation ability.
Eye movements were monitored in 16 women and 20 men during completion of a standard diagram-based test of mental rotation ability to provide measures of cognitive function not requiring conscious, decisional processes. Overall, women and men allocated visual attention during task performance in very similar, systematic ways. However, consistent with previous suggestions that sex differences in ...
متن کاملThe effects of age and sex on mental rotation performance, verbal performance, and brain electrical activity.
This study examined the effects of age and sex on mental rotation performance, verbal performance, and brain-wave activity. Thirty-two 8-year-olds (16 boys) and 32 college students (16 men) had EEG recorded at baseline and while performing four computerized tasks: a two-dimensional (2D) gingerbread man mental rotation, a 2D alphanumeric mental rotation, of three-dimensional (3D) basketball play...

Aviation security screeners analyze a large number of X-ray images per day and seem to be experts in mentally rotating diverse kinds of visual objects. A robust gender-effect that men outperform women in the Vandenberg & Kuse mental rotation task has been well documented over the last years. In addition it has been shown that training can positively influence the overall task-performance. Consi...

Many studies with different settings have confirmed that there is a performance difference in spatial skills between men and women, especially in the domain of mental rotation. The mental rotation performance is influenced by many different factors, such as training, sexual orientation, age, hormonal level or psychological influence. Video game usage positively affects the performance on mental...
متن کاملRe: Roberts, J.E., and Bell, M.A. 2003. Two- and three-dimensional mental rotation tasks lead to different parietal laterality for men and women.
Thirty-two college students (16 male, 16 female) had EEG recorded during computerized two- and three-dimensional mental rotation tasks. The simple two-dimensional mental rotation task was associated with more left parietal than right parietal activation in men and more right parietal than left parietal activation in women. The complex three-dimensional mental rotation task was associated with g...
